Storytelling
Ansell has been a storyteller for several decades working in Nurseries, schools, libraries, community setting, international festivals and radio.
Over the decades young people (some now adults with children of their own), have enjoyed Ansell’s unique participatory style of performance storytelling.
Known affectionately by many as Mr Mandingo, or Mr B, children and adults alike have been alike have been enthralled by Ansell’s folkloric, fun, allegorical and sometimes edgy storytelling. filled with music, song and participatory dance.
Ansell may come to your establishment for a day and kindle great excitement, or work with you for a week leading up to a carnival type exposé of your school/group/participants experience, contributions and talents (as an example).
With a background in TIE (Theatre In Education) Ansell has decades of experience of working closely with teachers to integrate stories into curricular work such as English, art, music and even maths.
So do get in touch if you’d like to experience the visceral vitality of Ansell Broderick’s storytelling.
